Working along side with interior designer Ellen Lee, commissioned to renovating and adding a three level addition to the existing single family dwelling.
The premise of the renovation was add to the front to the house and raising the existing second floor level a half storey to take advantage of the vista to the Ottawa River. A covered balcony off the new master bedroom was incorporated into the design, which was constructed slightly elevated above the finished floor line of the master bedroom.
The new second floor level included a master bedroom suite, with an 3 piece ensuite bathroom, walk-in closet, sitting room and a reading room. The ground floor was renovated into an open concept format, connecting an embracing the living room, foyer, dining room and kitchen together, with the kitchen being the focal point.
Clear storey windows were added at the top the second floor stairwell to flood the stairwell and connected open areas with an abundance of natural light.
